Our history

The winner of the international competitions Folklore Ballet "Smolensk" was created in 1991 from students of choreographic faculty of Smolensk state institute of arts. It is bright, original, on anybody not similar choreographic ensemble. His actors are young and beautiful. Heads collective the honored worker of arts of Russia, the winner of the State premiums, professor Michael Murashko.

The ensemble is known not only in Russia, but also in such countries as France, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Poland. The collective successfully appears on stage of Smolensk experimental theatre of a drama, in the state central concert hall "Russia" (Moscow), on a stage of the State Kremlin Palace, in the "Concert Hall Chaikovsky", on stages of concert halls of Smolensk area, Belorussia.

Folklore ballet Smolensk is successfully going on tour collective which is not only learn-creative base of students of institute, but also the keeper and the propagandist of a choreographic art of Russia.

The enthusiasm of actors, nobleness of aspirations, talent and enthusiasm of the head of collective of Michael Murashko are young - all this makes each performance by a bright and unforgettable show.
